A first-blooming for this. I lost a number of buds over the three months it was in bud. It has been so dark here in our central Ohio winter that many things simply take forever to blooom, and often blooms appear sideways or facing upwards if they actually open at all. It's not just that we're northerly. The weather service said we had only four days in Dec and Jan when it was sunny. Overcast the rest of the time. Our winters are very dark as a result, and over the three months or so I waited for these to open, I knocked off a few buds - it takes up a good deal of space in a crammed greenhouse and watering and moving plants around can be hazardous!
