Creating threads and then deleting them after people have posted is rude. The air of common sense fails some. I suppose if your intent is to be rude, then carry on. Otherwise, consider this a heads up. If you keep doing it, people are going to ignore you.

Not going to name the member, but her (his?) name rhymes with "do you no harm".

I think Forrest and Jon were going to change it so threads couldn't be deleted, but I'm not sure??

Please dont make Rono hunt. He'll hurt himself. And yes, that is a very rude habit. If you dont have the testicular fortitude to hear what others think then dont post it in the first place.

Which post was deleted this time? I miss everything. stoopid work, stoopid life.

We decided that to disable the feature because of isolated incidents was inappropriate. As of now, the feature is either on or off (we chose to leave it on). There are no other triggers that enable or disable it (i.e. length of time, number of replies, etc). That would be a custom build, and I have not contacted a vBulletin developer yet.

i have apologized profusely for the ONE incident i deleted posts, i had thot from forrests post about deleting posts that it would be ok, since other members obviously did it.... i apologize again...but i see that i will never be forgiven by some here...was there ever any question of that?...the member in question doesnt mind you bringing up her name...if you choose to bash someone then do so...but that isnt forum ettiquette either.....neither is the gang-bang attack of some members on others....

now the problem was a 'discussion' about rules...which i made several points in disagreement with jon....and for making those points i was severely reprimanded and ridiculed...np...i wont make any further suggestions for improving the site...i am simply a cheerleader here, and out of sheer stubborness remain so....

i take it that you are refering to my question of my noid orchid....well, i have since got a name for it from the grower....and i didnt delete the post....so whats the beef now? are you upset to see me post a question? ok be upset...i will post threads when i choose (and that is very rarely) unless jon chooses to ban me for some reason....i hope he is a bigger man than that...

anyone and everyone choosing to ignore my posts is quite alright with me...you few who carry grudges like that dont disturb me a bit....but for the sake of fairness to the site, i will continue to cheerlead as i see fit, and comment on beauty or brilliance of flower or person....i am a member, and i will bear the responsibilities of a member....certainly not a paying member, but a supporting member nontheless...

maybe someday this will work itself out...if not then so be it...peace..

Why do you keep saying that I might ban you? I've made it clear that I'm not going to do so. And severely reprimanded? Seriously? Are you truly that sensitive? This forum is meant for adults. If you're going to whine about someone telling you that you're not allowed to do something, you don't belong here. We welcome anyone on this forum, but not everyone is going to fit in. Perhaps you'd be better off at another forum which is comprised of people that are less emotionally grounded. If you'd like, I'll send you a list of those forums.

BTW - Just checked, and you've deleted 5 of the 9 threads you started. All 5 had replies before you canned them.

Right on, Dou! While I didn't support your position in the original deleted thread, you have as much right to voice your opinion as anybody else. And I also didn't approve (I feel like a mother) of your decision to delete that post, I can understand that you felt that course of action had been suggested to you.

If that's the extent of your "sin," then I don't understand why this topic has again been regurgitated.

LOL, that's what I get for taking too long to compose a post. I'd delete my response, but I don't want to be banned by Jon. He's tough, you know.

Clark's warped, vmijct. Be wary of him, he'll go off on you for no apparent reason.

It's where I ended up in life. The Tallahassee area has the largest GATOR FAN club in the country. You need to realize that years back the only law school in the state was in GAINESVILLE. The only state and federal jobs (along with legislative work was here in the Capital city). On top of it all my sister is a Semi, makes it all the more fun.
