Just checking in to say hello and how's it going in your Orchid World? I've gone from one plant to 30 in less than a year's time; I consider myself an unrehab-able orchid addict and only feel concerned about it once in a a while, like when I spend the grocery money on a tiny orchid that blooms once every other leap year and looks like lichen on a rock. But I still grin all the way home with my new little friend next to me. Once home I feed myself some ramen noodles ( what you eat when you spend the grocery money on orchids) My new friend is treated to RO water and Jack's classic. Look forward to hearing what you eat when you spend all your money on orchids ;)

Fleur, welcome to OI. You should be right at home. Personally, I reach for the wine when I've spent the grocery money.

Large bags of red potatos are cheap and can last a long time. And you can make them so many ways! Actually I make a meticulously detailed orchid expenses budget that put specific limits on what I may expend during the year, I gleefully ignore it.

Ah, the wine. Had to give that up. My passion for it was a little too like my passion for orchids. There are upsides. You can drive with an open container of orchids in the car --I checked. It's legal everywhere.
@ Paul: I do, I do! I can almost always find a quarter left in the couch or car. Sometimes even in my wallet.
Ricardo, gleeful budget disregard strikes me as a sound and entertaining plan. So far, I've just gleefully disregarded even making a budget.
Thanks to Brent and all for the welcome. Look forward to learning more, getting to know you all, and getting MORE orchids!
