    Intrageneric hybrid of galeandrae x rothschildiana. Many of the photos I've seen have a strong salmon undertone but this one's apparently influenced more by the rothschildiana. From an old Hoosier compot acquired as they were closing. Quite a small plant - leafspan of 4" max. Relatively shady, quite humid & warm. Can't wait to see what the others look like.

    Cool! I'm partial to species, but that is a pretty flower and yes, it will be very interesting to see the variation in the sibs. Does it have a fragrance?

    Oh, that is cool! I like the way it has traits of both parents.

    Anyone out there have any idea who ended up with all the angraecoids--particularly the "special" list of angraecoids as part of the auction? I know Erich Michaels ended up with most of the flasks. At the time I thought some of the plants on the list would surface on ebay etc etc, but I haven't seen it. :)

    Someone told me most of them ended up in institutional collections but I don't know for certain.

    Seedling no. 2 from the same compot. What a striking difference - more like what I expected from this cross.

    Generally I'm against hybrids, but this one is quite appealing to me. I really like the peach flush and golden brown veining on the second clone. Very nice!
