I grow a few of these for the flowers, 7 inches across!
They are in full sun, dirt, and clay pots & get watered if I remember.
Temperatures from 29 to 100 degrees.
The flowers last 1-2 days, but plants can have 5 flowers.

Dang Karen, I let a few of these die as they were space hogs. If I'd have only known.....

Lovely! I have about a dozen different varieties myself. I guess I should get the camera out and take a few pictures!

    Hi!

A couple of my Epiphyllums have bloomed recently and I even managed to snap a few photos! First up, this one is Padre, an old hybrid that should be in everyone's collection:

And this one is Mystic Mood. I've had this one for almost twenty years and it remains one of my favorites:

This one is Jolly Roger. The flower is just beginning to open. I'll take more photos of it when it is fully open.

My specimen-sized plant of Vista Sun had about 10 flowers all open at once. To bad I didn't take a picture of it before it faded. :(

I'll post more photos as I have them.

    Best Regards,
    Nik
