Epidendrum coriifolium is a species from wet forests of southern Mexico down into Bolivia. The one and a half inch flowers are produced sequentially on an infloresence shaped somewhat like a flattened crabs leg. Serrated "blades" on the backs of the sepals. The stiff, waxy flowers smell of rotting hay and if you crush the leaves they stink really bad. The plant grows to about fourteen inches tall.
