Encyclia profusa

    So named for the profusion of flowers this one can have! Mine is a first bloom seedling in a 4" pot. It is very young, but you can see the potential of this plant to have a huge branching spike with 100? or more flowers! The flowers are about 2" across.
    It is supposed to be a warm grower, but i grow it intermediate.

    very nice, i like the tiny touch of red on the lip.

    do you think it would handle outdoor winters in So Cal ??

    I don't think it would survive the lows. Probably low 40's is pushing it...
