Diplocaulobium stelliferum

    This thing surprised me. I didn't even know it was about to bloom. I moved it from the cooler side of the greenhouse to the warmer side about 2 weeks ago. As I was watering yesterday I turned around and I was met by this display about 6 inches from my face. I think I'll move it around more often! The flowers are nicely fragrant, and have lasted 2 days now.

    Nice photos.
    I have about half of dozen of species from this genus and most of them(flowers) are short-lived.

    Yours looks more like D. chrysotropis to me( I could be wrong...), which its flowers may last up to a week.

    I'll look into the identification. I bought it from Andy's orchids at the last Pacific Orchid Exposition labelled as stelliferum.
