This specimen received a CCM (89 points...I think) a couple of years ago when it was about half this size. This is Blaine Maynor the grower, and proprietor of Orchids For The People. If it is still in bloom, and he can manage to get it to the Pacific orchid exposition, he will. Stunning!

That is amazing. Is this the one that was Best of Show at POE last year? If it is it's bigger than I remember.

Wow, pretty incredible. Must be powerfully fragrant with that many flowers!

How big is the whole thing btw? I have a good sized plant but this one looks like 3X bigger than mine.

The plant is growing on a square flat. It's about 3 feet across and about 1 foot high in the middle.

I remember that one last year, No, it wasn't Best of Show (that was a Phragmipedium kovachii), but it did get a ribbon. It was awesome last year, and it looks even more incredible now.

Absolutely stunning. I have a piece of a clone called "Golden Gate" that I believe got a CCM. Mine is just tiny by comparison.

Did I just see this plant at the Peninsula Orchid Society show a week ago?

What separates Dinema polybulbon from Encyclia polybulbon?

Haha. That's what I thought, yet there seems to be no interest by many to consider them synonymous.

It's a good thing for name/label collectors - broadens the market, so to speak.

Splitters are a boon to horticulture, lumpers a bane.
