I'd like to do a better job growing my Phrags and Chinese Paphs by using diatomaceous rock in my medium.
Does anyone have a line on purchasing 3/8" to 3/4" like size rock?
It keeps the pH more in line with the plant's needs.

    Is this too small?

I have only used small DE from car parts store such as Carquest (as a small portion of mix). Phrags don't seem to be too picky about media, though. I keep killing P. caudutum group, so I'm not doing right with those, and I might need to pay more attention to the media.

I ended up getting a whole bucket of 1/2-3/4" from a friend!
