Dendrochilum filiforme

Great blooming this year from one of my favorite orchids. Sixteen spikes, each with around 120 flowers. I grow it downstairs under LED lights and cool temps in the winter, and on my porch in pretty bright light over the summer months. Good air movement year-round.

Kelly, I've got six species and they're all a little different. I love them all, but this one might be my favorite for most spectacular returns for little effort and amount of space it takes up.

 

It's in a mix of sphagnum moss and perlite. I do keep it moist, watering when the moss on top is dry. These guys do NOT like to be repotted, and will typically sulk if you disturb them. You can let it keep growing in a pot that seems far too small.
