Dendrobium vexillarius

    Sorry for the cell phone pictures. I moved two years ago and still have not found time to set up my real camera.

    This is my first real success with this species, and the first blooming on this plant in the three years I've had it. Grown in a cool greenhouse, 48°F night minimum, 75 degree day maximum . It's getting more light than my previous greenhouse, and I'll move my others of this species to the spot it's in.

    I've also bloomed another form of this species in the same spot (lower left of picture).

    Plus a couple of helwigianum...

    Yes, pure sphagnum packed tight in plastic pots with vertical slits on the side.

    Beautiful, the best thing to see this species other than hoping on a plane and going to New Guinea.
