I purchased this dendrobium online from a Bangkok seller. This morning two of the many buds opened up with blooms. Taking photos today is difficult with the overcast day here. The blooms can take on different color appearances depending on the light. They can look purple and brownish. The color can look somewhat bright or very dark.

RHS lists a dendrobium brown sugar. It looks very similar to my plant blooms. Thai dealers grow their orchids in their own facilities and they like to give the plant their own ID and names. So I will go with Den. Sugar 156.

This plant was one of the first ones that I wanted to buy because of the different color appearances. I am very pleased with the plant I received and this one should remain one of my favorites for many years.
