Does anyone have experience with this species? I can't find much information about it and am wondering if anyone has any cultural recommendations for it.

Warm grower for me. Might be pretty adaptable, similar to D. cyanocentrum.

same for me, I keep it between summer max of 30-32°C and winter minimum at 10-12°C. It obviously enjoys summer more than winter, but it does resist. grows as well mounted as potted in pure NZ sphagnum, so far.

Your conditions sound like mine...the same conditions where cuthbertsonii, vexillarius, sulphureum, etc. also do well. My puniceum should be in bloom in about a month.
