    Has anyone successfully bloomed this? If so, what were the growing conditions?

    I've had my plant since June 2004. Dale got his the same time. I'd like to know how to bloom this sucker!

    Thanks, Pook, I've been growing a number of them since 2003. A running joke between Jim Hamilton and I was "Have you bloomed it yet?" I ended up with some of his that didn't sell at the sale. So now I have even more that don't bloom. I grow them well, leaves now 6" long on some of them, multiple growths, pseudobulbs a little bigger than a pea. It REALLY pisses me off.

    I'm delighted to know I'm not the only one that hasn't bloomed this species. And I mean that in the best possible way.

    Dale, I know exactly what you mean. I think Dan Newman got some at the sale. If he blooms it and I can't, I not going to take that kindly.

    I'm blooming a Fernandezia right next to the stupid brassii plants, you'd think they would get the idea.

    You're shittin' me. I mean.... I know you're not, but... mine bloomed but were biennials. How long have you had your plant? I love fernandezia.

    June 2004. I'll photograph it. Would you like me to hold up today's paper so you know it isn't an old photograph? This is subbiflora. I have another shot of ionanthera I'll try to find. But it has gone to Fernandezia heaven (a very crowded place).

    Yes. A chopped off ear won't be necessary, although it would be a very nice touch. :D

    I have some photos of ionanthera. I try not to look at them too often.

    LOL! Well, when you told me your plant was so much larger than mine I became depressed. Just for a few hours, but still......

    I wanna know how Marni gets her Epigeneium lyonii to bloom. Piece of shit plant..... It hasn't even tried to bloom in the 20 years I've had it.

    Will it make you feel better if I tell you I've never bloomed it. But I should also mention that I only got them in June, they were rescue plants. But I'll be sure to tell you when I do.

    Oh. I received a photo from our Lebanese friend of a magnificently bloomed specimen some time ago. You were mentioned as the grower.
