This plant is from Kalimpong, India and grows at moderate to middle elevations. Some people say it smells like cake, but I get a bit of a chocolate scent.

Very pretty. Are the flowers long-lasting as well?

As I remember they are. They aren't the 5 day variety. This opened about a week ago and I'll try to pay attention.

Beautiful. One of my favorites. Mine bloomed in May so I was surprised to see yours bloom this late in the year. Must be our temperature differences . Which greenhouse does yours grow in?

Kelly, I have this in the cool house. Mine usually blooms earlier too, but not this year. I have dropped the daytime temperature a bit in the last 6 months or so and that may have effected it.
