A first blooming for me. Purchased as Cypripedium reginae. After some disappointment I have grown to like it and will try reginea again this Autumn. I purchased three plants giving one each to my mother and mother in law. This resulted in some of the most competitive gardening I have ever seen. All three flowered I am pleased to say! Ditto what Ray said, reginae is wonderful but this is a gorgeous example of a great hybrid. The dark staminode and interior speckling contrasted with the overall clear white is really striking. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice. i don't know why more people don't grow cyps. I get a lot of pleasure having them in my garden. I'll miss them when I move to Florida next month.
