    This one surprised me as I thought it would have to be much taller to bloom.

    Good one! I think kentuckiense is my favorite American cyp. I'm so happy that mine came up this year, with 2 growths. It didn't come up last year, so I assumed it was dead. No blooms, but I'm glad its alive.

    Tenman: Are you growing these outside? Do you think they would grow in SE Tn.? Zone 7?

    Yes, they are outside in pots in a raised bed.

    From what I can see on the us climate zones map, it looks like many of them would.
