A primary cross between Cyp. parviflorum x Cyp. calceolus, being grown in semi-hydroponics.

Do not check your glasses - it's hard for a guy with old knees to squat and get a decent shot hand-held. I'll try to do it better over the weekend.

Very nice, Ray! I'm glad that your wife didn't throw it away like your Cyp. reginae! Do you dig it up in the winter, and keep it in the fridge? I haven't tried semi-hydro with Cyps, but last year, I tried semi-hydro with Dactylorhiza purpurella. It didn't grow as well as the ones potted in perlite:humus, so I was pretty sure that I lost it. But it did manage to come back this year! I left it in the semi-hydro pot, and kept it almost completely dry for the winter.

Are you doing 20-30ppm N K-lite for every water with this one?

Yes Naoki, it is getting the low-dose K-Lite regimen like everyone else, and yes, it spent the winter in the refrigerator crisper without being thrown out.

I had tried a more organic mix in the past, but "Monocotman" in GB recommended that the LECA will be a better choice to avoid rots, so this spring, I went with the pro's advice.

I have another, supposedly "touchier" hybrid also in S/H - Annegret, shanxiense x parviflorum - which seems to be growing nicely, but I have seen no indication of buds yet.

    Here's a better shot.

Much to my surprise, they smell like honeysuckle! I didn't know any slippers had a scent.
