This beautiful Cymbidium survived on an oak tree that burned in the Tubbs wildfire of October 2017. The plastic pot was partly melted as was the tag and it lay on the deck for several months. It was grey and apparently dead. Then the rains came and I saw a tiny green sprout. It has not been repotted yet, but it has returned with a vigor not seen previously. All the orchids in my greenhouse were lost except for ten that were in dormancy. My house has been rebuilt and I am starting over to rebuild a new orchid collection.
