I finally got my hands on one of these is Feb of this year. Now, I am in my first full winter with this plant. My understanding was that it needed a cool and dry winter rest, which I have been providing. I rarely go completely dry during the rest period. Dry rest in my care is water without fertilizer every 2-3 weeks.

My resting Cuitlauzina pendula is putting out new growths, which I was not expecting. Would anyone with experience growing this species share their culture and any feedback on how I should proceed with mine?

I know @Marni has shared a beautiful specimen of this species in the past.

Regular watering doesn't really start until after the spikes are formed/finished. If you water too soon, the spikes can abort.
