Comparettia falcata

    Another disappointment in what seems to be an epidemic of mislabeled plants sold by vendors. I got this as Comparettia macroplectron at Redlands, and have anxiously awaited those large, spotted flowers. Instead, it has opened with cupped flowers half that size and no spots. My research indicates it is instead Comparettia falcata. Thank goodness I got another from a different vendor, though I don't think it's quite blooming size yet. Oh, well, another for the spring trade/sale list!
