Not in wide cultivation yet, I have waited 5 years for it to bloom. As much anticipated as the blooming was, I didn't get it photographed while the flowers were still in prime condition. I am growing it in intermediate conditions, but it can probably grow a bit cooler. It is growing in a 6" basket.

It is a huge plant. A friend grows it and has bloomed it several years even though we both got it at the same time. I have some capsules on it so won't be dividing it for a year or so. I was hoping for a mass blooming, but have to be content with 2 spikes.

Really nice - I think Cynthia Hill had written about her experience with the plant in Orchids Mag a few years ago...I believe she also grew hers intermediate...not a space hog, it looks like a nice tight Coelogyne species!

Cindy is the friend I was talking about. She is a great grower and though I know her growing conditions she frequently blooms things long before I do.
