Chemical Ecology and Dracula

    I was reading an article in the latest Chemical and Engineering News about chemical ecologists working on understanding how insects perceive their world; interesting, but for this crew, the most interesting was the last paragraph of a sidebar, which referred to a research group using silicone replicas of Dracula flowers to determine what in the flower is most attractive to pollinators - visual or olfactory elements. So, I looked up the reference:

    I've just downloaded a copy for myself, but haven't yet read more than the summary. Looks to be interesting for those of us with a scientific bent.
