Cattleya trianae var. sangre de toro

    Cattleya trianae var. sangre de toro is blooming out in the greenhouse a week before Christmas. This Colombian species has several color forms with "sangre de toro" denoting a dark reddish-lavender. I bought two of these at the WOC a few years ago, and this seems to be the better of the two. It has a really nice fragrance.

    Ed, this is one of the nicest flowers of this form I have seen. Did you get this from Mike Sinn (Canaima)?
