Cattleya Peckhaviensis

    Here's a picture of my Cattleya Peckhaviensis which is blooming for the first time. This plant is from Fred Clark's (Sunset Valley Orchids) cross of C. schilleriana coerulea 'Orchidglade' and aclandiae coerulea 'Blue Sky' HCC/AOS. The flower is 2.75" wide and is fragrant. As you can see from the picture, a coerulea X coerulea cross does not guarantee coerulea progeny.

    It's beautiful nonetheless. I have the same cross from SVO but still too young to bloom.

    Very nice. I also have one of these from SVO. The genetics of coerulea is different in the two species.
