Cattleya mooreana

    I got this as a struggling plant and it has taken 5 years to give nice blooming. It is supposed to be a lower elevation species, but has done fine in intermediate temperatures. I haven't noted a fragrance.

    Clean lines, interesting profile, and I love the delicate pattern in the lip. Sadly, it looks like this species has been overlooked by hybridizers.
