I used to grow this bright like a typical Cattleya and it did poorly. Following a discussion on this forum I moved it to shadier conditions and here is the result. It gets bright early morning light but then quite shady the rest of the day. I treat it more like a Pleurothallis than a Catt.
    Mounted, intermediate, no winter rest.

Kelly, its beautifully grown, and by the way that is a great clone of the species.
I've grown one in the past, and it was somewhat "cupped" and not as colored.

Always been intrigued by this one, but I've heard several times that the blooms are short-lived. Have you experienced that? Thanks! -Stephen

I agree, very nice form on this one. Do you find the flowers to be short-lived?

Thanks, all. I'll post again at a later date to let you know how long the blooms last.
