Cattleya gaskelliana

    Hi!

    I was watering in the greenhouse this morning and I noticed that the flowers on my Cattleya gaskelliana had opened, so I took a few photos. First, here is a close-up of one of the flowers:

    I purchased this plant years ago at the San Francisco Orchid Show from Andy's Orchids. It was in a 3-1/2 inch pot. Today, it is overflowing an eight-inch pot. The flower has a 6-1/4 inch natural spread. It definitely needs to be divided and soon!

    So elegant!. Very well done. I wouldn't want to be the one who had to break up that puppy.
