Cattleya dolosa

    Blooming again, this plant I got in trade is much paler than its first blooming and looks almost like a coerulean form, which it did not last time. It must be the cooler winter temps or lower light. And the form has improved markedly over the first blooming.

    Very nice! What's your take on this being a species or a natural hybrid between loddigesii and walkeriana?

    I'm going with the latest taxonomic opinion, which says its a species. One of the reasons is the failure to reproduce it articficially. There are others, of course, so I'm going with it being a species.
