Y'all check in here. Blink once if you're OK, and twice if you're not.

And , Bleecker, I thank you for all you have done so far and don't stop. I'm still working on the gutter fund and then there is that greenhouse fund I'm starting...

We set a new high record today, 76 degrees. Last year right around this date we set a record for snowfall in one day (blizzard with about 15" of snow on top of 2" of sleet). A third of our yearly rain came in one day this year creating record-setting flash floods. Since then we've been in a near-record drought. Lucky for us, the esteemed senator Inhoffe has proclaimed global warming to be a hoax, so we can all rest easy! We are statistically unlikely to set any more weather records in the coming year.

Blink. We live about 1/4 mile from a graveyard. Last night was the perfect setting for a low budget horror flick. I was worried. Forget the rain.

Any Wiccans here, have some nice rituals last night they care to share?

I heard from Karen a couple days ago. She's at her home in Torrents and staying put. I read on the news that Laguna Beach, where her Mom's home is located, has some significant flooding.

Torrents may be appropriate, but I believe she lives in Torrance.

Sorry, Dale, I've lost my sense of humor today. I've just spent several hours trying to remove an unwanted holiday guest. Bing (the search engine) has taken over as the default on my computer. Apple helped me get it off of Safari, but I can't get it off of Firefox. Clearly, if Microsoft made better products, they would need to hijack my machine to get me to use it. It is hidden so I can't delete it, won't let me restore default search engines.

    20 minutes later: Victory!

Sorry for venting on your thread, Dale.

Absolutely no problem, Marni. Glad you got it resolved. Swing by for a cup of coffee. Bright, clear, sunny sky today.
