First bloom of this Chinese species that I purchased from the Perners (Hengduan Mountains) a few years back. I grow it cool (at least in the Winter) in bright shade and evenly moist year round. The floral bracts seemed to constrict the blooms more than on the other few clones I have seen online. I’m wondering if the onset of hot, dry weather at time of blooming may have been a factor? Bulleyia is listed as a monotypic genus and would seem to be fairly closely related to Pholidota.
