Bulbophyllum sinapis

    I grew this one as sylviae for a long time, but then Chuck Nishihira pointed out to me that the name sylviae was never published. So it was described as sinapsis and published.

    I LOVE THIS BULBO. The flowers smell like gardenias. This is probably the 25th flower I've had on the plant this spring.

    Wow, really nice one, Jon! I love the color and translucency. Gardenia smell is a pretty good bonus, too.

    Thanks everyone! Every year until now, I've only gotten one or two flowers. This year has been something else.

    Um... I've seen it available a few times, but it isn't a common one. It's sometimes sold as bulbo sylviae or bulbo macranthoides.

    The smell is a welcome change after some of the other bulbos in my GH...

    Roger that. I'll update the thread, but I'm not going to change the photos. :cool:
