Even in the middle of the hurricane, the orchids never stopped blooming. These flowers opened when the plant was inside the house. I have found this orchid loves the humid climate of my location. Due to hurricane I lost a portion of my collection, but in time I will replace the plants. mar9.jpg

Very vibrant colors. I'm sorry you lost some of your collection. I guess there is no pressure to downsize now.

As long as you're okay plants can be replaced. Always a lot of work though having setting things right again.

I've had some B. rothschildianum for some years but never had flowers. Seem to get by with growth okay but I think the hot dry season takes it out of them.

I thank your offer kind offer, but for the time being, I will not add more plants to those I have. I need some time to mourn the losses, the Dimorphorchids, the Vandas and the others lost in the hurricane. Also the hurricane dumped two huge trees in my garden in a massive tangle that even a whole month of sawing and hacking has barely made a dent on the massive pile of branches. Also I won't add any more plants until I can reconstruct the shadehouse, and the remmants of the previous one is still laying upside down on top of a huge piece of a Casuarina equisetifolia tree.
