Does anyone have experience with this species? Im getting a couple of plants tomorrow (assuming its this species, came from taiwan as minutissimum which is an australian endemic, moniliporme is often labeled as minutissimum) and want some advice on how best to grow them? If anyone grows this species would love to see some pics aswell.

I parted ways with mine - it went to a more suitable home. I found I just couldn't keep the humidity high enough for it in my growing conditions. It does like to dry out between watering, that much I do remember. Good luck! -Stephen

P1040671.JPG It likes moist but not constant wet, bright shade/ semi-shade, good humidity and good water. Mounted on hardwood or cork with a little bit/ not too much of moss. Temperature range is best at 60-80F.
See attached photo per your request and assuming this is the species we are talking about.

It was mounted on hardwood(blueberry bush branch) but the plant had been divided..., The piece that I have now is on cork.

DSCF0053.jpg heres one of my mounts. Watered once a day, quite shaded, this one on a hardwood slab, the other on a pressed cork board. A few dont look that great, i have a feeling i should be watering more and/or bumping up the humidity, probably around 40-50% most of the time

Higher humidity should be good for this species. I would use a little bit of moss on the mount to help those plants to get established. Be patient with your seedlings, I got my first flower when my plant had 30+ growths.

yes, a tiny bit of moss under the plant will keep it moist for a bit longer. As long as you don't keep it constant wet, and with some air movement, you should not have to worry about the rot.

John, I was just joking. Thanks for the offer though.
Some vendors(foreign or domestic) had sold Bulbo. moniliforme as Bulbo. minutissimum, so there are some mislabeled plants here. Matter of fact, I have not seen a real Bulbo. minutissmum yet in person.

You don't have much of trouble to find Bulbo. minutissimum in Australia, do you?

I am surprised. I thought you would find one in Australia very easily..., I guess that explains why it is almost impossible to locate one here.
