The first image shows the difference in size between the standard maxillare and the smaller yellow species which is found in northern Queensland, Australia and PNG.

I've always enjoyed growing the red form, but that little yellow one is stunning! Are the plants similar in size?

The yellow form is two thirds the size of the red form, but twice the size of B.nasica which is a close relative.
