Bulbophyllum longistelidium is found in Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo. It is a beautiful, colorful miniature. It grows there at about 1300m. That's why it hangs in my temperate orchidarium. In the summer it is outside in the shade.

Wow! Marvelous specimen and great presentation. I don't see moss on the mount, how long is it dry before watering?

    Thank you Marni,
you have seen it right, there is no moss on the mount. There was some in the begining but it didn't grow. And the I left it.
In the orchidarium I water it every morning. It will stay moist until in the evening. Then my cooling system kicks in and it will be dry within a few hours. I think it will stay dry for about 6 hours.
In summer, it hangs in a pretty bright spot, outside. But hardly any direct sun. In the summer, if it hangs outside, it will be dry more often because there is much more air circulation. Moreover, the humidity is sometimes very low (45%)
I think it loves a period of hight temperature as well.
