One of my most floriferous Bulbophyllum. Yes I need to weed its basket because it has been invaded by begonia Bullobb.jpg s. I spend more time weeding the pots than repoting the plants.

In their latest book 'Bulbophyllum of Borneo' Vermeulen, O'Byrne and Lamb have brought clarity to the often confusing number of varieties of the Bulbophyllum lobbii complex. Many of the so-called varieties have been re-classified into subspecies.
For example, Ricardo's image above is now considered to be Bulbophyllum lobbii subsp.breviflorum.

    Pretty!

Thank you for the info about the book, Sidenfaden. I didn't know about it. It seems to be not easy to get. If anyone find a source to get this book (cheaper is better), please share!

I found a source for the book, but the quoted price is 750 RM which apparently is 162 dollars. The source is Natural History Publications Borneo.

Thanks, Ricardo. I contacted the publisher (NHP Borneo), and she said that there isn't any USA distributer at this point. Since it is a pretty big book, the shipping cost quoted in their web shop is expensive. But if you contact them, they can ship the book via surface (boat) mail. It could take 2 months, but the shipping is RM 130 instead of RM 230 for air mail. So the total is 880 RM (=$198). Since they have quite a few other good orchids and Nepenthes books, I ordered 13 books, and the shipping total was RM 240. They take Paypal.

For people in Europe, this place (NHBS) is probably cheaper: Bulbophyllum of Borneo
