Bulbophyllum lasiochilum

    Yet another very common species. The post from AnnaBanana yesterday about Bulbophyllum specimen shapes prompted me to photograph this plant. I grow this very bright (brighter than Cattleyas) and high in the greenhouse where it is warmer. This has never produced a spectacular flowering but it does well enough for me to keep growing it. I find it interesting that the underside (shadier) produces flowers earlier than the sunnier top. The upper portion just now has buds emerging.
    This plant is actually growing in a wood basket but has grown into this spherical shape. I like it.

    Very well grown Kelly. From looking at it, it is not the every day lasiochilum, I have a plant that blooms the same color and it is labeled as the red form.

    Love it!!!!! My second follow up question to the post I made. How do you water them to make sure the new leads don't get rot?
    But stunning plant ♡♡♡ what' im hoping to achieve one day :)
