In two months it will be six years since I received this orchid as a two bulb division from a friend in this forum. Since then the plant has grown quite a bit. It would probably would have been even larger if it had not been for the chaotic sequel of hurricane Maria. This plant dish was damaged, but it kept growing nonetheless, on itself in a tangled mass of roots and pseudobulbs. It is one of the few orchids that was unfazed by the see sawing climatic extremes in the months after the hurricane. In the future I will move it to a more suitable mount but for the moment I am just enjoying the show and thanking the friend who gave me the division.
