Bulbophyllum blumei is what is on the tag, is this correct or is it really Bulbophyllum masdevalliaceum

I got this one in a trade last year from a friend last year. The flower is a little past its peak as it opened last week but I did not have time to get a picture until today. I did find 4 or 5 more spikes forming though ;)

Very nice Tom. This is one of the reasons I need a greenhouse one day.

I talked with Andy P about blumei vs. masdevaliacum, he told me that the flowers were identical, its just that one is larger than the other. I forget which one.

Hey Tom how are you growing this one. I have both blumeii and masdevalliaceum and have yet to see them bloom

Thanks friends and Forrest for a lead....I will have to investigate this a little more.

Neyra - It is mounted on a tree fern totem with some moss. I am growing it in Intermediate temps under lights. It is sprayed daily in the winter and sometimes twice in the sumer to keep it moist

I believe masdevalliaceum is the larger flower.

I agree with Chris, I believe the flower of Bulb.masdevalliaceum is almost twice the size of Bulb.blumei.
