I am pleased to have finally bloomed this and a bit embarrassed that it took me 7+ years to do it. This was moved from my intermediate house in February to the new warm house where the temperature is minimum 65F (at least until I get the heating bill next winter). The umbel is 9" across. The lip is mobile so that slight pressure on it will cause it to swing up towards the column/anther cap. A really stunningly beautiful thing with only the faintest hint of a bad odor.

Oooh, I like that. A 9" umble must be wonderful.

Kelly, I had never seen it in person and photographs don't do it justice. It was open when I came home from Redlands. I was impressed!

Awesome! I've gotten two of these, rootless and desiccated that didn't make it. Hope to someday get my hands on a healthy one!
