This thing blooms all the time, off of each new lead and old spikes. One of my favorite orchids. Here's a whole plant shot for anyone interested. The spike, up to where it branches, is 10" for scale.

And you take much nicer photos of yours then I do mine. Did you get that from Marble Branch?

Thanks MJ. Always remember the calendar -- always. :) No, I got it in 2001 at some show from Claude Hamilton. Does Marble Branch have them?

They did at a show a couple years ago. That's where I bought mine. As you said, it's a great plant.

I've never been to a show where Marble Branch had a display. I am so impressed with their plants and service but it seems like, on their website at least, they are going majorly into breeding. Not much there as far as species go.

It's small. The spike is the largest thing about it. Mine has pbulbs about an inch, bifoliate about 2" to 3" and spikes 10" to 12" long. The flowers are small -- the lower one on this photo is about 3/4" wide. The more open one is an inch or more. You want a plant shot with something for scale?

I was mistaken, Ann. I don't have the aurea, I have the alba. But it did come from Marble Branch!
