Here's a picture of my Brassavola nodosa 'Off The Wall'. It's in peak bloom. It has a nice fragrance during the evening.

    Enjoy,

    Clark:

I grow my plant under very bright to full-direct sun. During the warm weather months, I grow it outside. It is growing in a wooden basket. It is grown uder intermediate to hot temperatures.

    Thanks,
    Allen

Hi Allen, I'm new here. Hope you are having a grand time in Virginia. Seems like you have been. Very nice specimen. Can you tell me where I can buy this plant?
    Best Regards,
    Dan

Starjaxx, I'm not sure about this particular clone, but B.nodosa is widely available

Oh thanks, and yes I have some B orchids. I'm not familiar with the one posted, however. I was hoping to get feedback from the gentleman who started this thread. Do you grow brassavolas?

"ABlackOrchid" hasn't logged in here for 3 years. It is unlikely he will be seeing your question. The above post was made in 2009.

I do grow one B. nodosa and a few hybrids with Brassavoala in the background. They seem to like to be on the drier side, do especially well on mounts/baskets (B. nodosa would be my vote for getting into mounted culture) and like very bright light. I put mine outside in the summer in all day full sun and in the winter, its right up next to the lights. They grow best quite warm (during the hottest days this summer, with temps in the 90s, many of my plants were rather unhappy but B. nodosa was thriving) but occasional temps down to 50F don't seem to bother them, they just slow down a bit.
