    Hi!

My Brassavola George Tyler is finally in bloom. This guy is one of my favorites, and with good reason. It is B. flagellaris x B. cucullata. This guy definitely takes after the cucullata in terms of flower shape, but it takes after flagellaris in terms of flower count. There are a couple dozen buds still forming on this plant.

I love this hybrid too! Maybe that explains how I somehow ended up with three of them.

This one is very nice. Where might one find this one for sale?

I purchased this one from Carter and Holmes around ten years ago. It's no longer listed in their catalog. You might check with them to see if they still have a few of them. I've also seen them for sale on eBay occasionally.

You might also check with Allen Black. I think he's the one who made this cross.

You could also try Parkside Orchids, they listed it a while back.
    *edit*
I was mistaken (again) it isn't George Tyler they offer, it is David Sander (cucullata x digbyana).

    So sorry.

    Check-out this thread.
My Brassavola George Tyler 'Layla Black' received an HCC/AOS in July. I believe this is the first one to be awarded.

    Thanks,
    Allen

Just an update on this guy. This morning I counted 20 flowers open and about dozen more buds in various stages of development. I'm quite pleased with the flowering this year!
