This specimen is presently in full bloom with 9 inflorescences and about 135 flowers. I am not sure where most of the roots are in the moss, or in the lichen, as the roots are very small. Though in the wild you do not often see them in moss, more amongst lichen or on fairly barren, but older bark. B. irridifolia is an African highland specie, in Kenya it is not really widespread, but in certain localities the numbers are high. This is the best detail picture I was able to make, flowers are about 0.7 mm wide. Last picture is an in situ one with a Life hangs by a thread.
