Hello all, just joined this forum.

I have a Paph bellatulum that I bought as seedling 3 yrs ago. It has grown and is in very nice shape. I hope that it will bloom for me soon but I always keep it in my kitchen window south morning sun but not really hot.

At the moment we are going through a chill here -24 degrees and I am wanting to know if it is okay to leave it in the window or should I move it??

if in doubt, move it away from the window....you have done well to keep it for 3 years, i hope it blooms for you soon, they are very beautiful.

    Welcome!
I guess the question would be how cold does it get by that window?

I agree with Ron........if the temps are not to bad by the window I would leave it but make sure the leaves are not touching the window itself.

Thanks for the replies. I really don't know how cold it gets but it is -27 here tonight.....:( Have to love these Canadian winters.

It does not touch the window but it is cool there that is for sure. It has been there the past 3 years but we have not had a cold snap like this for quite sometime. My other Paph Oriental Enchantment is in the same window and blooms every year there.

Are bellatulums easy to grow and bloom as a rule??

This is the last orchid I have alive from a place here that I ordered a bunch from. It is happy and healthy all I want is for it to bloom...;)

I have 5 orchids, 3 of my favorite phals, and 2 paphs. Use to have more, lost some over the years and others did not like my home conditions. These are the 5 Survivors and doing well. My phals bloom non stop in our livingroom SW exposure by the window nothing fancy just natural light. And like I said the two paphs are in the kitchen window.

I used to windowsill grow and the best advice is to put a thermometer on that windowsill and see how cold it's getting in the area.
