Love it! About how big does the plant get, minus spike?

Thanks Dale. Sounds like something I could grow if I can find one.

    B. spectabilis is much nicer.

I've thought about getting spectabilis, but I really like the ones with some yellow in the lip. naevosa is the one I'm most struck with but it doesn't seem to be in cultivation much, though I haven't asked around yet. I actually have a few Barkerias already, in response to your scandens post I should've said I want a few MORE of them. In looking at my tags I have scandens, lindleyana, and one labeled as lindleyi, which doesn't seem to be an accepted species name.

You'd probably like B. whartoniana, then.

Yes! That is a very beautiful Barkeria. Does everything in the genus stay diminutive?

I donno. I only have half a dozen species, but none of them are large.

Do you have barkeria obovata? If so, may I have it?

No, I don't have that one. If I did I'd give it to you, though.
