I bought this plant labeled B. silvana but it doesn't seem to really match drawings I've seen. Does any one know it?

    Hey Marni,
I can't come up with anything closer than silvanum. The one I was thinking of is spegazzinianum(shocking name even for an orchid) which is in book 1 of the Koniger Oncidium series. This however has a far narrower lip with a more substantial amount of callusing than your plant, and the lip does not recurve any where near as much. I'm guessing the picture you are referring to is the drawing in Harry Zelenko's Oncid book. The one he has as silvanum appears to differ from yours in that the side lobes are very prominent among other things.
At this time I only have books 1,2 & 3 of the Koniger Series and silvana/silvanum has not been delt with yet. I must check up and find out when the next book is to be released.
    Cheers Craig.

Thanks, Craig. I don't have the Oncidium series. I did have another friend checking and he says that it is B. silvana.
