Pook, that looks delicious! Maybe I'll try that next time. Here is the banana bread I made yesterday with our home-grown bananas. YUM! (It's a phone pic, so pretty crappy.)
Shit. Now I gotta buy some bananas. And some pecans and probably could use some more flour...
pook - a whole stick of butter - ahhhhh any recipe that uses one or more sticks of butter is a winner
alexis - soften up some butter to spread on slices of the nanner bread
i *heart* butter
Yup, Brant; lightly toasted and slathered with butter. YUM!
Im making some today..the dh asked if I would time it to be coming out of the oven at 6 so he can have a hot, out of the oven piece with butter.
i want some with butter, i will be there promptly @ 1800 ( i better hoof it to the aeropuerto .. pronto .. andele andele arriba arriba) (wow i just channeled Speedy Gonzalez)
You best hurry, Brant..
now i am hungry for sure - yum yum yum
thats my version of heroin or crack. The Dew loves him sum 'nana bread
This is probably the most exciting thing I've seen on this forum. I can't believe I've never tried this.
never tried Nanner bread? you better get a bakin, i am pretty sure they have bananas and flour in Canada - don't forget the butter to slather on, margarine will not work.
the more ripe the banana's are the better
Oh the nannerbread is a fav...but this idea of banana bread french toast just blows my mind!
How come Alexis' loaves look like they're covered in tectonic plates and Mary Jane's doesn't? Phone pic thing again? Humidity?
I don't know why mine split like that. Different recipes maybe? They weren't overcooked, though.
I don't know either. I used the recipe that Pook posted here. I am sure they were equally delicious!
Oops. I did it again. Different recipe this time with a crumbly topping..Damn good.
Did you make enough for everybody?
Ooo, that looks good! Recipe, please. We have another big bunch of bananas I just picked.
